端午包粽DIY (Taiwanese Dragon Boat Festival 2019)

6月8日星期六早上11:00 〜下午2:00傳統基金會將在活動中心舉辦端午包粽DIY活動。想要學習如何包粽子嗎？我們有専家會指導！ 11am-12:30pm教你如何包粽子; 12:45pm-1:30pm比賽包粽子，包的最佳的會有獎品。如果你不想包粽，我們還有立蛋遊戲請大家來挑戰！當天我們也準備素粽、肉粽、碗粿、艾草草仔粿、水果杯和香包義賣。歡迎大家一起來中心共度端午節（五月節）。會員免費，非會員不論是家庭或個人皆$10，學生則每人$5。

Taiwanese Dragon Boat (Duanwu) Festival 2019

An exotic, romantic story behind this day is that the White Lady Snake fell in love with the human Hsu-Sheng, they got married and had a son. One day a monk called Fa-Hai arrived and was determined to show Hsu-Sheng what his wife really was. They got the Lady White drunk with Realgar wine during the Dragon Festival. She lost her magic power and turned into a white snake. Fa-Hai imprisoned her at Thunder Pagoda, until one day the Lady White’s son grew up and rescued his mother from the pagoda. The family finally reunited and lived together happily ever after.
