【法庭觀摩並與法官問答】Courtroom Observation and Q&A with Your Elected Judge

08/14/2017 09:00 AM - 12:00 PM CT

Location

Harris County Civil District Courthouse
201 Caroline
Houston, TX 77002
United States of America

Description

Are your children interested in going to the downtown courthouse during the summer to observe courtroom action and then afterwards be able to meet and talk to the judge(s)? Attorney Kathy Cheng, a THSH member and volunteer, will offer your kids this opportunity and coordinate the event.  Though there are several judges who said they would love to do a Q&A if the people in the Taiwanese American community are interested, the Q&A is tentative subject to the availability of judges that day.

Although the general public is free to observe any of the courtroom hearings, when we coordinate this event, attendees will be able to visit the judge's chambers, depending on which judge we are scheduled.

There is no an attendee age limit but if the attending parents have a young toddler, the toddler needs to be able to be quiet or we can always walk the toddler out into the hallways.  We just need to have something to keep toddlers or younger childen preoccupied without interrupting the courtroom hearings.
