Susan Fillion is an Assistant County Attorney in the Compliance Division of the Harris County Attorney’s Office. She represents the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in matters relating to public information, criminal and civil subpoenas, administrative mater, contracts, and law enforcement policy(s) and procedure(s). Prior to her current position, she represented the Harris County Guardianship Program, which provides guardianship services to approximately, 1500 indigent citizens of Harris County. While representing the Guardianship Program, she handled hundreds of guardianship cases involving issues of decision-making capacity and medical interventions. After establishing guardianships, she assisted the Guardianship Program in solving multiple problems associated with the wards, including real property issues, resolving problems associated with the wards, including real property issues, resolving problems in qualifying for Medicaid or Social Security, and general administration of guardianships. She has been with the Harris County Attorney’s Office in 2002.
